Signed a contract in May of 2007 was told house would be built in 80 to 100 days weather permitting. It is now August and all that has been done is the shell of the frame. The only time i seem to get any work done on it is when i call and constantley complain.
I will pay them what they have in it they will make no profit. I also told them i will not pay for something i'm not living in. The only reason United built is still building houses is they choose to do it in some locations where nobody else builds. I built a house in texas with a company named Tilson homes. They started in september and finished in december of the same year. The house was 100 sq ft larger and about cheaper and was built very well.
They delivered all of the building materials for the house in May and they have sat on the ground outside getting rained on and molded. The roof trusses were all bowed and they said we won't use them and they used them. We have pictures of all of this crap and i can't believe i'm going to pay 100,000 plus dollars for this. Our construction forman is a total dumbass , and the office managers are tired of talking to me. my next step will be a lawyer. They have not honored the contract so i will do what i can to cut my losses. I have already told the Monroe manager that i'm willing to pay them what i owe them, and be done.
